Andhra Pradesh Government appointed Aravinda Rao as new DGP (Director General of Police). He is now in the post of ACB Director General.
1977 batch IPS officer will take charge as new DGP of Andhra Pradesh from September 1. Aravinda Rao has very good track record in the police department.
He was the Chief Intelligenece officer during YSR rule. Congress party Government picked Aravinda Rao ahead of 1975 batch senior IPS officers, K.R. Nandan and Gautam Kumar.
