Telangana movement leader and Professor Jayashankar died at his home in Warangal City. He has been suffering from Lung cancer. Jayashankar played active role in 1952, 1969 and current Telangana movements. This Economics professor inspired thousands of students and people through his lessons and speeches. Last rites will be held tomorrow in Hanamkonda. Whether you support Telangana cause or not, no one can question the integrity and sincerity of this 76-year old unmarried Professor from Hanamkonda. He donated his 4-acre land to local school. Birth date: August 6, 1934 in Akkampet, Atmakur (Mandal), Warangal distirct. Education: M.A. (Economics) & Ph.D. in Economics Jayashankar is the ideologue of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS). Jayashankar, former Vice-Chancellore of Kakatiya University, is known for his extra-ordinary knowledge on Telangana problems and irrigation issues. Unlike TRS leaders, he is famous for expressing his views in a concrete manner. Telangana movement needs more leaders like him. Jayashankar played crucial role in the formation of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS). Telangana movement lost another good leader after demise of Vanam Jhansi (BJP leader from Mahabubnagar district).
