Potula Suresh was arrested by Police

  Paritala Ravi follower Pothula Suresh was arrested by Anantapur Special branch police at around 2 PM near Surat in Gujarat. He was arrested by Anantapur police in cinematic fashion which created an impression of kidnap. Very few people knew about his whereabouts in the last 6 years.  According to media reports, police arrested Suresh by trapping phone of his wife.  Anantapur poice may take the person before megistrate by tomorrow morning.  Suresh and Chaman are the close followers of Paritala Ravi who was murdered by rivals near TDP office in Anantapur.  TDP leaders are suspecting conspiracy in the arrest while Anantapur SP denied allegations. TRS leads in AP by-elections 2010

  TRS wins in 6 assembly segments and is leading in another 5 segments while BJP wins in Nizamabad Urban segment. Congress and TDP lost deposits in many Assembly constituencies.  PCC president D. Srinivas lost in Nizamabad Urban. Andhra Pradesh bandh on July 19

  Telugu Desam Party called for state wide bandh in Andhra Pradesh on Monday (July 19) to protest against the arrest of TDP president, N. Chandrababu Naidu along with MLAs and MLCs.  TDP leaders were arrested by Maharashtra police and remanded to 14-day judicial custody when they tried to visit controversial Babli project. Party leaders refused to take bail. This incident triggered wide spread anger across Andhra Pradesh.  Osmania University postponed PG counselling which is schedulled to be held on Monday.  What went wrong?  Maharashtra police made a blunder by registering case in stead of just taking into custody and releasing them after some hours. TDP leaders strategically used that opportunity by not seeking bail. Judicial custody for Chandrababu Naidu

  Telugu Desam party president, Chandrababu Naidu and other party leaders remanded to 14-day Judicial custody as they refused to take bail. But, they will be kept in Dharmabad ITI for 2 more days. Chandrababu Naidu should be kept in A+ jail as he is under Z+ category security. Maharashtra has just 2 A+ category jails (Pune & Aurangabad). This incident created high tense atmosphere in both Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra. Telugu Desam activists conducted agitations across the state.  Significance: Master stroke by TDP president before Telangana by-elections. TDP which was in third place in many segments suddenly came into limelight. This incident will help TDP to regain cadre base and fight hard in the by-elections. One more Swine Flu death in Hyderabad

 One pregnant woman died of Swine Flu at Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad. 28-year old pregnant woman joined hospital with suspicious Swine flu symptoms 1 week back.  Andhra Pradesh reported 2 swine flu deaths in last 4 days and 3 new swine flu cases are reported from Hyderabad in last 2 days. 1. Hyderabad: One death and 3 new cases. Couple returned from Singapore are tested positive for Swine flu. 2.   Current location: East of Ongole town and 220 kms north east of Chennai At 6 PM on Thursday: Near Machilipatnam. Heavy rainfall with wind speeds of 50-60 kms. It may not cross near Machilipatnam but moves slowly very near to that town. Both Krishna and Godavari district people should be on high alert. Its path is very near to these coasts. Expected landfall: Cyclone may cross Andhra coast near Kakinada at 1-2 AM on Friday. Update from Ongole: Heavy rainfall for last 6 hours with wind speeds of 30-40 kms. Water entered into many houses in Ongole town. Cyclone movement: It is moving slowly and moved just 6 kms in last 6 hours. Final analysis: It will not make landfall on Thursday but is expected to make heavy damage in most districts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh today. Alert: Cyclone movement and expected landfall is very near to KG Gas basin of Reliance Industries.
