Murder attack on Akbaruddin Owaisi

MIM Assembly floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi

  MIM floor leader and Chandrayanagutta MLA Akbaruddin Owai was attacked by Mohammed Pahilwan followers near Barkas MIM office in Hyderabad old city. Akbaruddin Owaisi was admitted to Owaisi hospital in Santoshnagar with gun shot injuries. According to reliable sources, doctors removed 4 bullets from his body and is safe. Malakpet MLA Ahmed Bin Abdullah Bilala & one Corporator also injured in the incident. Mohammed Pahilwan's relative Ibrahim and another follower died in the incident. According to Hyderabad CP A.K. Khan, 11 people participated in the attack on Akbaruddin Owaisi.       Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) MLA Akbaruddin was shot at while conducting Padayatra in Chandrayanagutta at 11:00 AM. In a carefully planned attack, Pahilwan followers used guns and knives to kill Akbaruddin. But, Malakpet MLA gunman opened fire immediately and saved Akbaruddin. Situation in Hyderabad old city is tense but under control. New Andhra CM: Kiran Kumar Reddy

  Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy is the new Chief minister of Andhra Pradesh. Congress party president Sonia Gandhi finalised his name. AICC observer Pranab Mukherjee announced his name at Lakeview guest house in Hyderabad. Kiran Kumar Reddy is elected to Andhra Assembly from Pileru constituency and is the speaker of AP Assembly. He will sworn-in as new Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh at 10 AM on Thursday.  Kiran Kumar belongs to powerful Reddy caste and reluctantly inherited father's political legacy. Andhra CM Rosaiah resigned

  Andhra Pradesh Chief minister Konijeti Rosaiah resigned. He announced his resignation in a press meet held in Hyderabad. Rosaiah will submit his resignation to the AP Governor at 2 PM today. He intimated about his decision to Congress Party President Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday.  Rosaiah was sworn-in as Chief Minister on September 3, 2009 after the sudden death of CM Y.S.   Telugu Desam Party leader from Krishna district, Chalasani Venkateswara Rao (Pandu) found "Murdered" in an apartment (Swapnika Pearl) at Madhura Nagar in Hyderabad. He came to Hyderabad 2 days back and was scheduled to leave on Monday at 5 AM but found "murdered" at 4th floor apartment. Reasons for murder are not known. He was murdered at around 11 PM on Sunday night. According to media sources, real estate disputes are the reasons behind this brutal murder. Andhra Pradesh bandh on July 19

  Telugu Desam Party called for state wide bandh in Andhra Pradesh on Monday (July 19) to protest against the arrest of TDP president, N. Chandrababu Naidu along with MLAs and MLCs.  TDP leaders were arrested by Maharashtra police and remanded to 14-day judicial custody when they tried to visit controversial Babli project. Party leaders refused to take bail. This incident triggered wide spread anger across Andhra Pradesh.  Osmania University postponed PG counselling which is schedulled to be held on Monday.  What went wrong?  Maharashtra police made a blunder by registering case in stead of just taking into custody and releasing them after some hours. TDP leaders strategically used that opportunity by not seeking bail.
