  Andhra Pradesh Government decided to withdraw all the cases filed against students. 1,677 police cases were registered till September, 2010 during Telangana/United Andhra agitations. Osmania JAC demanded state Government to drop all cases in one go but United Andhra JAC stated that their students don't care about JAC. Home Minister Sabitha Indrareddy announced this decision just a while back.  11 Congress party MPs from Telangana region are on indefinite hunger strike from Monday afternoon. They succeeded in creating pressure on Telangana ministers but it is looking like a "political drama" for neutral analysts.  Total number of cases: 1,667 cases involving 8,045 students  Cases dropped in first stage: 565   Cases dropped on Monday: 135   Congress Party succeeded in not giving credit for rollback to TRS. TRS MLAs stalled Assembly for 3-4 days on this issue but Congress Government had not yielded to their pressure. Now, Congress MPs staged "hunger strike"??? for roll back. Sonia emergency meet with AP MPs

  Shocked Sonia Gandhi decided to conduct an emergency meeting with Andhra Pradesh MPs today. She ordered Cabinet Minister Jaipal Reddy to come to 10 Janpath along with all AP Mps. Congress High command was shocked after seeing 25 Congress MLAs and 1 MP at Jagan fasting centre. Unofficially, Congress Government in AP is now in minority state.   Unfortunately, new Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy miserably failed to help farmers by announcing good relief package. He failed to understand the seriousness of current crisis. 20 farmers committed suicide in the last 3 days as they lost crop at the time of harvest. They already in deep trouble due to Jal and Laila cyclones.  Crisis provides best opportunities for intelligent leaders. NTR utilised 1986 floods to consolidate his position in Godavari districts. Andhra CM Rosaiah resigned

  Andhra Pradesh Chief minister Konijeti Rosaiah resigned. He announced his resignation in a press meet held in Hyderabad. Rosaiah will submit his resignation to the AP Governor at 2 PM today. He intimated about his decision to Congress Party President Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday.  Rosaiah was sworn-in as Chief Minister on September 3, 2009 after the sudden death of CM Y.S. Andhra Pradesh bandh on July 19

  Telugu Desam Party called for state wide bandh in Andhra Pradesh on Monday (July 19) to protest against the arrest of TDP president, N. Chandrababu Naidu along with MLAs and MLCs.  TDP leaders were arrested by Maharashtra police and remanded to 14-day judicial custody when they tried to visit controversial Babli project. Party leaders refused to take bail. This incident triggered wide spread anger across Andhra Pradesh.  Osmania University postponed PG counselling which is schedulled to be held on Monday.  What went wrong?  Maharashtra police made a blunder by registering case in stead of just taking into custody and releasing them after some hours. TDP leaders strategically used that opportunity by not seeking bail. 2 Swine flu deaths in Andhra Pradesh

 Andhra Pradesh reported 2 swine flu deaths in last 4 days and 3 new swine flu cases are reported from Hyderabad in last 2 days. 1. Hyderabad: One death and 3 new cases. Couple returned from Singapore are tested positive for Swine flu. 2. 3G spectrum winners for Andhra circle

 Bharti Airtel, Aircel and Idea won licenses for 3G spectrum in Andhra Pradesh circle. They need to pay 1,373 crore each. Reliance Communications, Tata Docomo and Vodafone failed to win license in Andhra circle. Big setback for both companies. They may lose high end data hungry consumers which may show severe effect on ARPUs. BSNL is already providing 3G licenses in Andhra Pradesh. No telecom company won pan-India license. Mobile number portability will come into effect from July 1st.  … [Read more...]

YSR helicopter crashed?

  No information about Andhra Pradesh CM, YSR whereabouts even after 23 hours despite extenstive search with Shkhoi and ISRO aircrafts. As a human being, everyone wants "safe return of YSR" but if you think rationally, such chances are almost nil.  According to sources, there are signs of oil in the in the back waters of Krishna river  at Sivaganga area (20-25 km from Sreesailam dam). Helicopter might have been crashed in that region when pilot tried to return to Hyderabad from Atmakur area.  What might have been happened?    1. Officers requested YSR not to travel in bad weather on the morning of Wednesday. But, YSR decided to visit villages as it was the first day of prestigious "Racchabanda Programme."  2. After travelling 60 Natican Miles (110 km), CM Helicopter lost contact with Air Traffic Controller in Hyderabad.  3. ATCs of Bangalore and Chennai tried to get in touch with YSR helicopter but they failed to establish contact.  4. Pilot sent message for the last time at 9:10 AM when it was flying in between "Atmakur and Bandi Atmakur" in Kurnool district. His message " We are confronted with bad weather. In stead of going forward, we are deviating to east (Ongole)."  5. Helicopter might have beed crashed in Krishna river after hitting some hill due to lack of visibility/ some thunderstorm might have been responsible for the crash of the helicopter.  What are the probabilities:  1. Andhra Pradesh CM YSR is missing

  Helicopter in which Andhra Pradesh chief minister, Y.S.Rajasekhar Reddy is travelling has lost contact with Air controller in Hyderabad since 9:32 AM. YSR is scheduled to participate in "Racchabanda programme" in Chittoor district.  Bell 430 helicopter in which YSR is travelling went missing at around Atmakur in Kurnool district. There are 8 mobiles with people in Helicopter but none of them are receiving any signals despite BSNL has already increased the frequency of towers in that area.  12 helicopters are searching across "Nallamala forest" to locate Andhra Pradesh chief minister. Andhra Pradesh government requested people in that region to search entire forest area.
