
Telugu Desam Party Bandh is peaceful across Andhra Pradesh barring minor incidents. TDP called for Bandh after its president Nara Chandrababu Naidu was arrested by Police in the early morning but Naidu continuing his hunger strike even in the hospital by refusing medication. Schools, Offices and shops remain closed till evening in most parts of the state. Normal life was hit and people faced inconveneince as many do not know about Bandh call till 6 AM in the morning. High impact of Bandh was seen in many Coastal distircts where farmers suffered heavy losses due to rains. Bandh was successful in Khammam and Nalgonda districts also where traffic was severely disrupted. Bandh revitalised Telugu Desam cadre in North Telangana districts especially in Nizamabad. CPI, CPM and MRPS also supported TDP Bandh. Nagarjuna University postponed exams. National leader Ajit Singh, MPRS leader Manda Krishna and Jammu Kashmir Panther party leader Bhim Singh visited NIMS and consoled Babu. Health Minister D.L. Ravindra Reddy also requested Chandrababu Naidu to call off fasting due to his deteriorating health condition.
