Andhra cyclone update
Laila cyclone is now located at 400 kms east of Chennai and 500 kms of Vizag. Low pressure area formed in Bay of Bengal on Monday is now turned into Cyclone and is expected to cross Andhra coast between Ongole and Vizag on Thursday as per latest weather reports. As per weather reports, this is the biggest cyclone in Andhra history in last 13 years. Strong winds with a speed of 70-80 kms per hour may cause heavy losses in coastal areas from today night. Cyclone is expected to move in north-west direction. When cyclone crosses coast, 20-25 cm rainfall and 70-100 km per hour wind speeds are expected along and off coastal area in Andhra Pradesh.
