Telangana congress leaders

According to Azad, Telangana is a camplicate issue and needs cooperation from local poitical leaders.  Azad also stated that we are constantly educating Telangan congress leaders on the issue and the problems. So, Telangana Congress leaders like Keshava Rao and Madhu Yashki are saying exactly opposite to this and they are misleading Telangana people so far.    Why Telangana Congress leaders have not told about these education classes by high-command? Thanks to Ghulam Nabi Azad for making the categorical statement on Telangana.  So, these Telangana leaders knew the truth but make empty statements on deadlines and resignations etc.   … [Read more...]

Agitations Bandhs

Andhra Pradesh Government decided to withdraw all the cases filed against students. 1,677 police cases were registered till September, 2010 during Telangana/United Andhra agitations. Osmania JAC demanded state Government to drop all cases in one go but United Andhra JAC stated that their students don't care about JAC. Home Minister Sabitha Indrareddy announced this decision just a while back.  11 Congress party MPs from Telangana region are on indefinite hunger strike from Monday afternoon. No Telangana state in near term: Indian Express

There will be no separate Telangana state formation either immediately or in the near future - this is the headline story in the Indian Express newspaper quoting authoraitative sources. Express also wrote that Congress Party decided to reconsider it only before 2014 Assembly elections that too appears remote. According to that report, Congress party may even impose President rule in AP if necessary. Sri Krishna commission report almost lost significance due to political equations.   Home Minister Chidambaram announced the formation of separate Telangana state (process initiation) on December 9, 2009 without thinking about consequences which resulted in widespread agitations across Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema.  Congress is facing pressure from UPA allies as these parties are fearing about "separate state" demands in their strongholds. Congress party is also fearing about "Jagan factor." If Congress sticks to "separate Telangana state" promise, it will be wiped out in Seemandhra region and also in Hyderabad.  But, TRS may benefit from this crisis in the local body elections in North Telangana distircts. According to his speech in Warangal meeting, KCR is also preparing for long struggle. … [Read more...]

DGP Aravinda Rao Ongole tour

Andhra Pradesh DGP Aravinda Rao warned anti-social elements who are creating problems in the state in the disguise of Telangana/United Andhra. He requested Andhra people to maintain peace and hormony irrespective of message in Sri krishna commission. AP Government already requested central Government to send para-military troops to control the situation in the state.  DGP came to Ongole in the morning by Simhapuri express and reviewed the law and order situation in Prakasam district. DGP inaugurated two "Special Weapon Action Teams" in Ongole - first time in AP. Gaddar announced Telangana Praja Front

Famous Social activist Gaddar has announced Telangana Praja Front (TPF) in Hyderabad. This party will announce more details in the meeting which will be held on October 9 at Nizam College in Hyderabad. This party will work in association with other Telangana JACs.  Single point agenda of TPF: Force Congress party to put bill before Parlaiment. This agenda is in contrast to TRS which is concentrating more on TDP in stead of Congress. Gaddar's move spoilled Congress party plans whose leaders conducted successful meeting in Karimnagar today.  Significant statement: They decided to start Telangana movement immediately in stead of waiting for Sri Krishna commission report.  Formation of Telangana Praja Front is another significant development in the famous Telangana movement.  Comment: Good move by Gaddar as KCR is diluting Telangana movement by concentrating more on Telugu Desam and party politics. We have to see how KCR and Congress will tackle Telangana Praja Front. Due to this move, Sri Krishna Commission may lose significance and TRS may need to change strategy to keep flock together.   … [Read more...]

Chandrababu Naidu arrested at Maharashtra border

Telugu Desam President, Nara Chandrababu Naidu has been arrested at Dharmaram village on Andhra-Maharashtra border. He is arrested by Maharashtra police when he tried to visit controversial Babli project. TDP leaders were taken to Dharmabad ITI in Naded district. One should appreciate Nanded SP for managing the tense situation in a cool manner.  TDP president started his "Babli bus journey" from Assembly Bhavan in Hyderabad and reached Dhrmaram village (Andhra-Maharashtra border) by 1:30 PM. He tried to cross border at around 2:15 PM but Maharashtra police denied permission. He sat on the road for 1 hour and police finally arrested Chandrababu Naidu at 3:23 PM. Traffic was disrupted and high tension atmosphere was prevailed in the Andhra-Maharashtra border since morning. Many TDP leaders like P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Devender Goud, E. Dayakar Rao, M. Narsimhulu, Pocharam Srinivasa Reddy, Nama Nageswara Rao, P. Ramulu and Venugopala Chari etc. also participated in the Yatra. Nagam Janardhan Reddy is conspicuous by his absence. Most of the Telugu Desam MLAs participated in the Yatra.  Comment: Babli bus Yatra is the best political move by TDP president after a long time. In one shot, he visited Telangana area without any problem and also succeeded in gaining political mileage. TDP candidates are struggling in many segments in the by-elections due to strong Telangana segment. But, this bus yatra may partially help TDP candidates in Sirpur, Mancherial and Chennur Assembly by-elections in Adilabad district where Telugu Desam party has strong base.  … [Read more...]
